Sr. Accountant

We are in search of an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in the construction industry based in Jurupa Valley, California. This role is centered around the management of accounting tasks including maintaining customer credit records, processing credit applications, and ensuring prompt resolution of customer inquiries. The Sr. Accountant will also be in charge of monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct month-end balance sheet reconciliations.

• Oversee the management of fixed assets.

• Prepare and report financial statements.

• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications.

• Maintain precise records of customer credit.

• Promptly address and resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts.

• Monitor customer accounts regularly and take necessary actions.

• Work in a high-volume environment ensuring accurate and timely accounting tasks.

• Apply expertise in the construction industry to accounting practices.

• Utilize accounting software for managing and analyzing financial data.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management, including the use of Vlookup and Pivot tables.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Sr. Accountant role.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Solid understanding of General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including familiarity with Excel Formulas

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Knowledge of Oracle, SAP, Dynamics NAV, and Dynamics GP accounting software

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
