Process Operator

As a Process Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring that customer orders are filled and shipped promptly. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including general cleaning, washing hoses and drums, disposing of drums, filling liquid chemical orders, and handling materials with a sit-down forklift. Your primary focus will be on moving liquid chemicals used for water treatment. Initially, you will spend a significant amount of time cleaning and disposing of used totes and drums, which is a priority due to the increased order volume.
Responsibilities- Take direction from the shift manager to fill and stage orders for delivery.
- Clean hoses, drums, and totes used for liquid chemicals.
- Use electronic pallet jack and sit-down forklift to move and stage finished products.
- Complete paperwork accurately, including process conditions, test results, instrument readings, and shipping documents.
- Spend a significant amount of time washing and disposing of used totes and drums initially, with this task becoming less frequent as the backlog is cleared.
- Experience with sit-down forklift (minimum 6 months).
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment, or other labor-intensive job.
- Strong customer focus and attention to detail.
- Willingness and ability to work outside as needed.
- Ability to take direct feedback on work performance and processes.
- Comfort with working with chemicals, following safety procedures.
- Ability to shave beard to fit into a respirator when needed.
- Steel-toed shoes.
- Chemical manufacturing experience.
- Experience with mixing or blending chemicals.

Work EnvironmentYou will work in a warehouse environment with three shifts available: 1st shift (4am-12pm), Mid Shift (8am-4pm), and 2nd shift (12pm-8pm, sometimes until 8:30pm). While overtime is not mandated, many employees choose to work additional hours to ensure tasks are completed. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment including a bump cap, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, and a chemical suit. The warehouse is temperature-controlled to an extent, but can become warm during summer months. Main chemicals handled include phosphates, sodium hypochlorite, caustic soda, and various coagulants.
Pay: $20/HR
