We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in Memphis, TN. As a Payroll Clerk, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that center on maintaining the payroll system and ensuring all employees are compensated accurately.


Responsibilities:

• Calculate compensation based on time worked, salary, bonus, and/or commission.

• Compute taxes and payroll expenses effectively.

• Process garnishments and adjustments as required.

• Work under the guidance of the Payroll Manager or Supervisor.

• Utilize Excel for various tasks, including the use of pivots and v-lookups.

• Handle payroll management and compensation administration tasks.

• Maintain accurate records of employees' salary structures and bonus programs.

• Ensure all payroll processes are in compliance with established policies and regulations.

• Use templates for various payroll operations and functions.

• Respond to any inquiries or issues related to payroll promptly.

Hybrid - 3 days in office

$18/hr

Temp Indefinite

Must have strong Excel skills and payroll experience
