About the Position:
Soliant Education is seeking a qualified School Psychologist for an onsite, full-time contract position in the Methuen, MA area for the 2024-2025 school year. This role will involve working with both General Education and Special Education students, providing psychological assessments, counseling, and collaboration with school teams to ensure that students' emotional, academic, and behavioral needs are met.

Candidates must hold a valid license as a School Psychologist from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). This position offers a supportive environment and a great opportunity to make a direct impact on the well-being and success of students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological evaluations for students, assessing cognitive, emotional, and behavioral development.
• Prepare detailed evaluation reports and provide actionable recommendations for academic and behavioral interventions.
• Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing a wide range of emotional, social, and behavioral challenges.
• Actively participate in IEP/ARD meetings, presenting evaluation results and collaborating with parents, teachers, and school staff to develop individualized support plans.
• Consult with teachers and staff to develop behavior management plans and strategies for students in both general and special education settings.
• Maintain confidential and accurate records of evaluations, meetings, counseling sessions, and other related documentation.
• Provide crisis intervention and support in managing student behavioral issues.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including special education laws and ethical standards of school psychology.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school staff to address academic, social, and emotional concerns.

Requirements:

• Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
• Valid license as a School Psychologist from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).
• Previous experience in psychological evaluations, writing reports, and providing individual and group counseling.
• Strong understanding of special education processes, including IEPs/ARDs, and experience with behavioral intervention strategies.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
• Experience in crisis intervention and behavior management is preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student data appropriately.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
