Caseload: Elementary
Contract Duration: Guaranteed through December, with potential for extension
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in a self-contained classroom for elementary students. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of 13 students with diverse learning needs. You will be part of a collaborative environment, working alongside two experienced teachers who are mitted to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs.
- Collaborate with co-teachers and support staff to create a positive and engaging classroom environment.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies to acmodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional methods as necessary.
- municate effectively with students, parents, and other professionals to support student success.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive school culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters preferred).
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with elementary students in a special education setting is preferred.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
- A mitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
