Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide direct instruction in small group, one-on-one, and inclusive classroom settings
- Work closely with general education teachers, administrators, and parents to modify lessons and ensure curriculum accessibility
- Regularly assess and document student progress, making adjustments to instruction as needed to meet educational goals
- Implement necessary accommodations and modifications in line with each students IEP
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and other school-related activities
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education (or related field) from an accredited institution
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with endorsement in Special Education
- Knowledge of Illinois state and federal regulations regarding special education
