Commodity Buyer

As the Procurement/Commodity Manager/Buyer you will successfully maintain and continuously improve demand management, purchasing and supplier coordination processes of your assigned food grade commodities while maintaining thorough market knowledge to control costs and mitigate risks.
The typical work week is Monday - Friday, with a negotiable 8 hour schedule aligned with company hours, Hybrid arrangement available.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, production engineering, or related field; or 3 years of professional experience in a supply-chain related field
- Good understanding of supply chain analytics such as demand forecasting, network flow modeling, network analysis and optimization, routing and distribution analysis
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills; finds pragmatic solutions to complex problems
- Adept at building rapport and maintaining relationships; excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Skilled with MS Microsoft Office to include Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Excel (pivot tables, charts and solver)
- Ability to quickly navigate and learn new software and systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Skilled at conflict resolution and negotiations
- Effectively manages multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and able to self-direct in a fluid environment
- Comfortable communicating concerns and understands when to escalate decision making to a higher level
- Models 'best in class' mindset with a focus on safety, quality, and sustainability
- Willingness - to travel internationally and domestically for trade shows or conduct supplier site visits
Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
