ProCare Therapy is excited to bring on a Special Education Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. We're partnering with a district that needs full-time support for a K-12th grade caseload. While they prefer candidates with school-based experience, all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. Interviews are currently being scheduled, so submit your resume today

Job Details:
  • Onsite near the Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania area
  • Start ASAP
  • # students/sites and caseload information will be discussed more in depth with special services' director during interview

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (or related field)
  • Valid state(PA)teaching certification/license in Special Education.
  • Prior experience working with students with special needs in inner city is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Provide specialized instruction and support to help students achieve academic and social goals
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing learning environment
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
