Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our school team in Lake Stevens, WA. The ideal candidate will work closely with students who have behavioral challenges and developmental disabilities, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is vital in helping students achieve their educational and personal goals.
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) developed by a BCBA.
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to promote positive behavior and skill development.
- Collect and record data on student behavior and progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure consistency in behavior interventions.
- Provide support in crisis situations and assist with de-escalation techniques.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development and modification of BIPs.
Qualifications:
- Current RBT certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Experience working with children or adolescents with special needs, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
