Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and proactive Full-Time Paraprofessional to join our team at a local school in Anderson, CA. As a paraprofessional, you will provide support to students and teachers in a variety of educational settings, helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for education and a commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of children.
Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers with daily instruction and classroom management
- Work with students one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts
- Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with special education requirements
- Provide behavioral and emotional support to students when necessary
- Help prepare instructional materials and classroom activities
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student progress and development
- Participate in school events, professional development, and team meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned by the teacher or school administration
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Associates degree or higher, or 48 college credits (preferred)
- Previous experience working with children, especially in educational or support roles, is a plus
- Ability to work effectively with students of varying abilities and backgrounds
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students' academic and personal growth
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with staff
- A background check and TB test will be required prior to hire
