Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in the service industry, based in Rockledge, Florida. This role involves handling administrative payroll duties and timekeeping tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing payroll and maintaining employee records.

Responsibilities:
• Review and approve employee timesheets ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Process payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
• Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
• Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve concerns promptly.
• Monitor irregularities in timesheets and payroll, taking appropriate action when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
• Maintain confidentiality of all payroll information.
• Continually update skills and knowledge to keep up with new regulations and trends in the field of payroll processing.
• Collaborate with the HR department and Finance department as needed.• Proficiency in reviewing and managing employee timesheets
• Demonstrable experience with payroll functions
• Ability to efficiently process payroll in a timely manner
• Strong skills in reconciling payroll discrepancies
• Familiarity with payroll software and systems
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrable ability to maintain confidentiality
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Experience with federal and state payroll regulations
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
