Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Industrial Painter to join our team. The Industrial Painter performs routine and preventive maintenance painting duties, occasional sandblasting, and a full range of specialized painting. This role involves ensuring high-quality output and customer service, maintaining inventory, and keeping the work environment clean and organized.

Responsibilities
  • File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces.
  • Operate a forklift.
  • Maintain paint shop inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Maintain a clean workspace and ensure shop cleaning.
  • Ensure paint shop output and work performed is of high quality for both internal and external customer service.
  • Keep supervisor informed of any actions, written or verbal, which may affect the ability to perform assignments successfully or adversely affect company operations.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by management.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to comply with safety precautions and procedures.
  • Ability to operate sandblasting/painting tools and equipment, or ability to learn.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, employees, vendors, customers, and other business associates.
  • Ability to consistently meet attendance expectations and paint shop deadlines as required by management and/or dictated by project & customer requirements.
  • Dependability is a must.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • One to three years of industrial painting and sandblasting experience is preferred but not required.
  • Technical college or trade certification is preferred but not required.
  • Welding experience is preferred but not required.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily a shop setting with exposure to loud noise, dust, and fumes. Employees will be working near machines and construction sites, exposed to variable weather conditions including rain, snow, wind, cold, and heat. This job requires lifting and/or moving up to 75 pounds, and performing physical labor such as sitting, standing, walking, bending, stretching, and occasional stooping or kneeling. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00
