Locations Supported: Rockdale (1412 Milstead Ave, Conyers, GA 30012), Newton (5126 Hospital Dr NE, Covington, GA 30014), Walton (2151 W Spring St, Monroe, GA 30655)

Shift: Flexible between 6am – 6pm, Monday through Friday. 10-week on-call schedule, with availability for on-call or overtime as needed.

Job Description:

Piedmont Health is seeking a highly skilled Biomedical (Imaging) Technician III to join our team. This full-time role involves supporting and maintaining advanced medical imaging equipment across three hospital locations in the Metro Atlanta area. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with portable X-Ray machines, X-Ray rooms, Ultrasound equipment, injectors, and Cath Lab equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain files, supplies, and parts.
  • Stay current with industry knowledge and advancements.
  • Implement cost containment measures to maintain diagnostic equipment efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and customers.
  • Work on high-tech laboratory or diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • Maintain regulatory documentation.

Must Haves:

  • 7+ years of experience supporting/repairing/maintaining imaging machines (not just BMET).
  • 4+ years of experience with portable X-Ray machines and X-Ray rooms.
  • Experience with Ultrasound, injectors, and Cath Lab equipment.
  • Experience with at least 2 out of 3 makes of X-Ray machines: Siemens, Philips, or GE Healthcare.
  • Ability to drive to and work onsite at customer hospital locations (Newton in Covington, GA, Rockdale in Conyers, GA, and Walton in Monroe, GA).
  • Excellent communication skills.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Rotate between three hospital locations in Conyers, Covington, and Monroe, GA.
  • Perform equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and regulatory documentation.
  • Source cost-efficient measures to maintain diagnostic equipment.
  • Communicate with staff and customers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule between 6am-6pm based on location and equipment maintenance windows.
