Salary Range: $70,000 - $93,000/year

Job Duties

  • Safely operate radiation therapy equipment for treating neoplastic diseases or other therapeutic purposes.
  • Perform high-quality radiation therapy procedures as per the Radiation Oncologist’s prescription.
  • Conduct pretreatment preparations, including simulations and the fabrication of treatment devices.
  • Complete daily QA tasks on linear accelerators and CT simulators.
  • Use hospital and Radiation Oncology EMR systems to document treatments, patient positioning, and care coordination.
  • Schedule patients for simulation/treatment and communicate pertinent care details.
  • Educate and support patients, explaining procedures and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Maintain a calm, professional demeanor under stress and resolve issues effectively.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved program in Radiation Therapy.
  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
  • Licensed by the state of New Mexico or eligible for licensure.
  • CPR certification required.
  • 3-5 years of experience preferred.
  • Proficient in operating ionizing radiation equipment and adhering to safety standards.
  • Able to handle radiation sources competently.
