As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager to join & lead our growing team at our manufacturing site in Northern Georgia. Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving technical projects, fostering a collaborative team environment, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Mentor and guide a team of engineers, promoting professional growth and skill development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages innovation and collaboration.
Project Management:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with product management and other stakeholders to prioritize features and requirements.
Technical Guidance:
- Provide technical direction and support for complex engineering challenges.
- Review and approve design specifications, code, and technical documentation.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement best practices in engineering workflows.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Performance Management:
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Set clear objectives and key results (OKRs) for the engineering team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in appropriate Engineering discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience (5+ years) in an engineering management role or similar capacity.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with a focus on team dynamics.
- Proficiency in Lean manufacturing techniques, continuous improvement, process and operation design / improvement, cost quotes and analysis, cost reduction and justification; established measurables and labor standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Six Sigma Black Belt a plus.
