Type: Temporary (minimum 6 months) with potential for permanent placement

Pay: $21 per hour

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Shipping Clerk to join our team. This role involves a mix of clerical and warehouse tasks, with a focus on ensuring smooth shipping operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in fast-moving consumer goods and be comfortable working in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with drivers and coordinate shipments.
  • Create Bills of Lading (BOLs).
  • Collaborate with various teams, including management and hourly staff.
  • Perform clerical duties related to shipping.
  • Ensure attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Utilize SAP software (experience preferred, as we will be migrating to this system).
  • Cross-train and gain system access.
  • Interact with the management team handling shipping functions and the hourly team responsible for picking.
  • Understand and communicate supply chain processes.
  • Notify the receiving team of arrivals using a walkie-talkie.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in fast-moving consumer goods.
  • Ability to handle high-volume tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with SAP software.
  • Forklift experience is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements:

  • This role involves physical tasks, and candidates should be comfortable with the demands of the job.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with available overtime.

Additional Information:

  • The previous shipper has moved out of state, so this position may feel new and evolving.
  • The role is a 50/50 split between computer and warehouse tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00
