Salary: $25.00 or more per hour

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with lathes, mills, and other machine tools to fabricate parts. This position requires an individual capable of performing machine setups and ensuring part quality with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities:

• Set Up and Operate Machines: Perform setups on lathes and mills without supervision to fabricate precision parts.
• Inspect Parts for Quality: Check parts for defects, flaws (scratches, dents), and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Machine Tools Operation: Operate lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and grinders to fabricate parts according to specifications.
• Blueprint and Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints or engineering drawings, making notes regarding machining requirements.
• Mathematical Knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic math (inches & millimeters) for precise measurements and adjustments.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with team members, communicate well, and participate in collaborative problem-solving.
• Learning and Growth: Be open to learning new techniques, accepting guidance, and making continuous improvements based on feedback.
• Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, and stand for long periods of time.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience in manual machining, specifically with lathes and milling machines.
• Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Mathematical Skills: Strong understanding of measurements (both inch and millimeter systems).
• Welding (a Plus): Experience with welding is a plus but not required.
• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to bend, lift up to 50 pounds, reach, and stand for extended periods of time.
• Willingness to Learn: Open to receiving guidance, learning new skills, and improving work performance.
