Position: Behavior Technician
Location: Pleasanton, CA

Position Details:
  • Job Type: Full-Time, Monday - Friday
  • Hours: 32 37.5 hours per week
  • School Year: 2024/2025

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with students to implement behavior intervention plans, promote positive behaviors, and support their overall success in the classroom. You will collaborate with educators, specialists, and families to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce positive behaviors.
  • Assist classroom teachers with managing challenging behaviors.
  • Record and document data to monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
  • Support students in developing social, emotional, and communication skills.
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and specialists to meet student needs effectively.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required (Associates or Bachelors degree in a related field preferred).
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred but not required (training may be provided).
  • Previous experience working with children or individuals with special needs is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a passion for helping students succeed.
