Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Paraprofessional to work in the San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District school system. The Paraprofessional will work closely with teachers and students to support classroom activities and ensure a conducive learning atmosphere. A detailed list of job requirements will be included below.

Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance like
• Assist in classroom management and maintaining a conducive learning environment.
• Help prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Support students with special needs or disabilities, following Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as directed.
• Supervise students during various activities including lunch, recess, and field trips.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student progress and achievement.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior.
• May include duties such as Toileting, Bus riding, Lifting, Behavior assistance, Classroom redirection.
• Autism one on one support.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associates or bachelors degree in education or related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
• Knowledge of educational practices and classroom management techniques.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning and development.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
