$60,000 - $90,000 + performance-based commission
Responsibilities:- Record and update the status of all case files in the case management system
- Negotiate suitable agreements and settle on the clients’ behalf when appropriate
- Serve as legal counsel on the clients’ behalf at hearings, mediations, trials, depositions, and litigation
- Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, insurance company adjusters, supporting witnesses, and medical providers to gather information
- Draft, review, and modify claims, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documents
- Manage personal injury cases from inception through resolution, ensuring timely and strategic handling of all aspects of the case.
- Conduct thorough case research, review medical records, and gather relevant evidence to build compelling cases.
- Draft and modify legal documents, including pleadings and demand letters.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff to ensure cases are handled effectively and efficiently.
- Maintain organized and updated documentation for each case in the firm’s case management system.
- State Bar Association membership and state license to practice law is mandatory
- A bachelor’s degree and a J.D. degree is required
- Computer proficiency is essential
- 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation or trial experience in medical malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death, or civil litigation practice areas is needed
- Knowledge of personal injury law/ tort law, medical terminology, wrongful death, civil and family law, and medical malpractice is vital
- Experienced in Personal Injury Law: You must have 3+ years of experience in the world of personal injury.
- Licensed in Colorado: You must be licensed to practice law in Colorado and in good standing with the State Bar.
- Client-Centered: A strong passion for helping injured individuals and achieving the best outcomes for them.
- Skilled Communicator: Excellent writing, negotiation, and verbal communication skills are crucial to advocate for clients.
- Organized & Detail-Oriented: The ability to manage multiple cases while keeping meticulous records and meeting deadlines.
- Bonus: Litigation experience is a plus, but not required.
