Job Description:

Soliant is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Paraprofessional (Para) to join our team in Middletown, RI. As a Para, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with varying needs in a school-based setting, working closely with teachers and other staff members to ensure a positive and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers in the classroom by providing instructional support to students.
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students who require additional help with their academic, social, or behavioral goals.
  • Implement and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) under the direction of a certified teacher.
  • Assist with classroom management and organization, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Support students with special needs in pleting assignments, activities, and classroom participation.
  • Help facilitate effective munication between students, teachers, and parents.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions to stay informed on best practices for student support.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree or higher is preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting, is highly desirable.
  • Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Must pass a background check and meet all Rhode Island state requirements for paraprofessionals.
