Job Description

The Manufacturing Fabricator/Welder will be responsible for establishing processes and fixturing required for new vehicle builds. You will work closely with engineering and operations teams to set up new features and vehicle models. Responsibilities include building sub-assemblies for installation in vans or fabricating parts from raw metal to make assemblies work. Additionally, you will prove out installation methods before releasing them to production and create fixtures from engineered drawings or parts to ease installation during production.

Responsibilities
  • Establish processes and fixturing for new vehicle builds.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations to set up new features and vehicle models.
  • Build sub-assemblies for installation in vans.
  • Fabricate parts from raw metal to create assemblies.
  • Prove out installation methods prior to releasing to production.
  • Create fixtures from engineered drawings or parts to ease installation during production.

  • Experience using tools such as plasma cutters, grinders, chop saws, drills, tape measures, torque wrenches, ratchets, sockets, wrenches, and impacts.
  • Ability to recognize welding symbols and specifications.
  • Basic math skills with mechanical aptitude.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to make necessary corrections.
  • Ability to follow instructions and implement tasks effectively.

Work Environment
