Description
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Part-Time (2-3 hrs. per day)
Caseload: 1:1 - Behavior + Deaf student
Location: On Site
Additional Info:High Behavior needs

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide academic instruction to special needs students in a variety of subjects using evidence-based techniques such as multisensory learning, repetition or phonetics.
  • Communicate educational plans to parents, teachers, administrators, social workers and others involved with the students progress.
  • Keep records of all special needs students that adhere to local, state and federal guidelines to remain compliant.
  • Administer tests to assist in diagnosing certain learning disabilities and to monitor the progress of each student.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in special education or related field
  • Valid Illinoisstate specific credentials
  • Past experience in schools preferred but not required
  • Professional Educator License - Special Education
