Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a contract for a permanent position as an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team based in Macon, Georgia. This role is primarily focused on managing a high volume of vendor invoices and ensuring the accuracy of customer credit records in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:
• Accurately process cost invoices in accordance with the delegation of authority approval.
• Establish and uphold relationships with both new and existing vendors.
• Handle daily communication with vendors regarding statements and overdue invoices.
• Ensure all assigned vendor invoices are paid in line with invoice terms.
• Maintain and manage accurate document preparation and records related to the Accounts Payable function, adhering to records retention policies and delegation of authority approvals.
• Utilize the DocuWare System for scanning and indexing of files as required.
• Monitor and manage the hold report daily and non-matched receipt report monthly.
• Carry out other related duties as delegated.
• Manage issues related to invoice problems including receiving and pricing.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.• Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk role or similar
• Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred
• Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is required
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills to manage large volumes of invoices and payments
• Strong communication skills to interact with vendors and internal departments
• Proficiency in computer software like Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of accounting principles and best practices
• Capability to handle confidential information responsibly
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is a plus
• Willingness to continuously improve and update knowledge and skills.
