Central Pet Distribution is hiring Warehouse Associates Day shift Monday through Friday, Weekends Off

Do you love pets and love working in a fast-paced environment? Our growing company is seeking experienced warehouse associates to pull merchandise to complete orders from pick tickets, and load/unload trucks with pet supply products to be delivered to pet retailers. Our Pet Distribution team works together to supply our customers with the nation’s top brands of pet supplies like Nylabone, Kaytee, and Aqueon. Location: Central Pet Distribution Center in Aurora, CO

Shift Details: Day Shift starting at 6:00am until 2:30pm, 5 day work week Monday through Friday. Must be able to work overtime as required

Starting pay: $18+/hr DOE

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:

  • Process transactions utilizing VoCollect technology and/or identify items on paper pick ticket or voice operated system according to bin location, part number, and/or description.
  • Pick orders that are scheduled to ship that day and package merchandise to ensure safe transport.
  • Inspect merchandise to ensure quality products are used to complete the order.
  • Accurately review counts of all incoming shipments. Record shortages and reject damaged items.
  • Receive incoming goods by unloading trucks and shipping containers. Prepare outgoing shipments, as needed.
  • Assist the inventory department in completing cycle counts, as needed.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments. Accurately review counts of all outgoing shipments to verify information against invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Pull items via Voice System and/or paper-pick.
  • Pull and pack items to manual cart, conveyor, or onto a pallet.
  • Staging of the pallets, consolidating freights, and loading of the delivery trucks.
  • Meet production, quality, and accuracy levels as established by business unit. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment.
  • Provide training to other associates as needed.
  • Maintains regular and punctual attendance. Works extended hours, outside of regular shift schedule, as required by operational needs.
  • Flexibility to work in other areas and departments, as needed. Must be able to cross train in other departmental areas.
  • Maintain a clean workplace to avoid tripping hazards or other accidents. Promote a safe work environment by following facility and company safety guidelines.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with manager and co-workers. Ability to comprehend and carryout simple instructions.
  • Ability to operate and become certified in operating an electric pallet jack and/or order picker when picking orders or putting product away.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES:

  • 1 or more years related warehouse experience, preferred
  • Pick to Voice experience, preferred
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment
  • Ability to read and write legibly in English, carry out oral instructions in English, count and do basic math
  • Ability to speak and hear on an electronic device
  • Forklift experience and RF scanner experience preferred
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, safely, with or without accommodation
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work is conducted in a warehouse environment with temperature changes depending on the season. The facility is non-climate-controlled
  • Working in a warehouse environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts and machinery
  • Must be able to wear safety shoes and safety vest

POSITION INFORMATION:

  • This position pays $18.00+ per hour DOE
