About ProCare Therapy:
At ProCare Therapy, we are dedicated to helping students succeed by connecting schools with exceptional therapy professionals. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in Santa Clarita, CA. This full-time position offers the opportunity to positively impact the lives of students while working in a supportive school environment.
Position Overview:
In this role, you will provide therapy services to students with diverse needs, helping them develop essential motor, sensory, and functional skills to thrive in their academic and personal lives. You will work closely with educators, parents, and school teams to implement individualized therapy plans and monitor student progress.
Key Responsibilities:
For OT Candidates:
- Assess and evaluate students functional and sensory needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans to address identified goals.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in group and individual settings.
For COTA Candidates:
- Deliver therapy services as outlined by the supervising OT.
- Assist with the implementation of treatment plans and activities.
- Monitor and document students progress under OT supervision.
General Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure student success.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for IEP meetings.
- Participate in school-based meetings and provide expertise on therapy strategies.
Qualifications:
For OT Candidates:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid California OT license.
For COTA Candidates:
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting.
- Valid California COTA license.
General Requirements:
- Prior experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A commitment to fostering student growth and independence.
