Job DescriptionJob Description

Summary: Seeking a Cabinet Maker II to fabricate and assemble wood-surfaced subassemblies for aircraft interiors using blueprints and design drawings.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Basic knowledge of cabinetmaking processes, products, and tools

  • Two (2) years experience in cabinetmaking

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the aerospace industry

  • Working knowledge of inspection and process specifications

Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate furniture and wood-surfaced subassemblies using blueprints and design/engineering drawings

  • Assemble, pin, and glue cabinet shells; install drawer-slides, hinges, latches, and other hardware

  • Apply exterior surface materials such as laminates, veneers, and cap strips

  • Use various stationary and hand-held power tools to fabricate or disassemble furniture

  • Comply with all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies; use personal protective equipment to protect aircraft interior

  • Utilize material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign-off work

  • Collaborate with lead technicians to develop process improvements using Lean Six-Sigma techniques



Pay Details: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
