Job Description: Executive Chef / Kitchen Manager – High-Volume, Award-Winning Restaurant, Edison, NJ

Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Chef / Kitchen Manager to lead our award-winning, high-volume restaurant located in Edison, New Jersey. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on culinary leader to manage a dynamic kitchen team, oversee daily operations, and deliver exceptional dining experiences. Our restaurant generates over $10 million in annual revenue, and we pride ourselves on maintaining high standards while fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. If you have a strong background in culinary management, a deep understanding of P&L responsibilities, and a desire to lead a talented team, we want to hear from you

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
• Lead and develop a high-performing kitchen team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Manage P&L statements, including budgeting, inventory control, and cost management to optimize profitability.
• Implement and maintain high standards for food quality, safety, and sanitation in accordance with health regulations.
• Innovate and update menu offerings to enhance the guest experience while managing food costs.
• Monitor and manage kitchen workflow to ensure efficiency and timely service in a high-volume environment.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and team dynamics.
• Foster a positive and inclusive kitchen culture that encourages creativity and professional growth.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial management, including P&L, budgeting, and cost control.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
• Strong culinary skills with a creative flair for menu development and innovation.
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
