Seeking a new opportunity within a school district? ProCare Therapy proudly collaborates with an outstanding school district in Alameda, CA in search of a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join their team for the ongoing school year
Position Details:

  • Full Time
  • 7:30 am 10:30 am
  • On-site
  • $23-27/hr

Job Description:

  • Provide compassionate and basic nursing care to students in accordance with individual care plans and school policies.
  • Assist students with daily activities such as feeding, toileting, grooming, and mobility as needed.
  • Monitor and record students' vital signs, behaviors, and overall health status during school hours.
  • Administer medications and treatments under the direction and supervision of school nursing staff.
  • Collaborate with teachers, school nurses, and parents to ensure coordinated care and support for students with special medical needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of medical supplies and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide first aid as necessary until additional medical support arrives.
  • Document all care provided accurately and timely in student health records.
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to maintain certification and stay updated on best practices in school nursing.
  • Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards when handling medical information related to students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in school or pediatric environments is preferred
  • Must possess CNA certification for California
  • Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and colleagues
