About the Women's Services Float Pool Department:
We're seeking a skilled and adaptable registered nurse to join our Women and Children's Float Pool. In this role you will provide nursing care to women in various settings within our facility including labor and delivery, mother/baby, NICU, PICU and pediatrics. We are searching for a nurse with the capabilities to float to these different units and adapt to the various patient's needs. We pride ourselves on our compassion, expertise, and dedication to providing specialized care to our most fragile patient in the healthcare system.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and communicates patient care needs for discharge planning in interdisciplinary care conferences and with members of the health care team.
- Develops and implements an individualized plan of nursing care with the patient and family that will address the patient's and family's identified needs and concerns.
- Collaborates with physicians and other health team members in coordinating the plan of care and facilitating patient outcomes.
- Implements and evaluates the patient's response to care through assessment and reassessment and updates the plan of care.
- Ensures the patients are admitted, transferred and discharged in a timely and efficient manner.
- Documents assessments, delivery of care and patient's response to care in the medical record.
Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in accredited nursing school required.
- Current valid North Carolina nursing license or Multi-State/Compact required.
- 1 Year experience in acute care required.

In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
