Job DescriptionJob Description

This position involves formulating and testing consumable reagents for Client, requiring compliance with regulatory standards and interaction with various teams to support drug monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives. Here is an overview:

Job Duties:
  1. Formulation & Testing: Develop and test reagents and calibrators used in drugs of abuse and therapeutic drug monitoring for Client and partner instruments.
  2. Procedure Compliance: Adhere to area procedures, manufacturing work instructions, and regulatory standards, including FDA, DEA, ISO, and OSHA requirements.
  3. Documentation: Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) to accurately document production steps in batch records.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with teams such as Technical Operations, R&D, and Planning for process troubleshooting and improvements.
  5. Equipment Operation: Operate various manufacturing equipment to perform formulation tasks.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to lean manufacturing efforts, process improvements, and cost reduction initiatives.
  7. Problem Solving: Address and resolve standard operational issues independently and seek support for non-routine issues, providing guidance as needed.
Skills and Experience:
  1. Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field. Alternatively, 10+ years of laboratory experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  2. Laboratory Experience: At least 4-6 years of laboratory experience, including familiarity with formulation, troubleshooting, and chemical handling.
  3. Technical Knowledge: Experience with SAP, Documentum, Microsoft Office, good documentation practices, good manufacturing practices, and general laboratory practices.
  4. Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards, including FDA, DEA, ISO, and OSHA.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong work ethic and interpersonal skills.
