Responsibilities:

• Assist educators in executing lesson plans and teaching activities.
• Provide individualized or small group support to students needing extra help.
• Aid in classroom management to foster a positive learning environment.
• Help prepare teaching materials and classroom decorations.
• Support students with special needs, following their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as instructed.
• Supervise students during lunch, recess, and field trips.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to monitor and enhance student performance.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and behavior.
• May include responsibilities such as toileting assistance, bus supervision, lifting, behavioral support, and classroom redirection.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associates or bachelors degree in education or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience working with children, especially in educational settings, is a plus.
• Understanding of educational practices and classroom management strategies.
