Robert Half is seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join a growing CPA firm in Wilson, North Carolina. A bachelors degree in accounting and at least two years of tax experience in a public accounting firm are required for consideration. This role primarily involves processing tax-related duties in a public accounting setting. The successful candidate will utilize various accounting software systems to ensure accurate and efficient processing of tax returns and compliance tasks.


Responsibilities:


• Utilize accounting software systems such as CaseWare, CCH IntelliConnect, CCH Prosystem, and CCH ProSys for tax processing tasks.

• Prepare and process corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant tax laws.

• Handle individual income tax return preparation and submission.

• Manage income tax compliance tasks, ensuring all tax obligations are met in a timely manner.

• Process individual tax returns, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.

• Handle partnership tax returns, ensuring all partnerships are in compliance with relevant tax laws.

• Resolve customer inquiries relating to tax returns and compliance.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications as needed.

• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may affect the company or clients.

• Must have demonstrated proficiency in Corporate Tax Return preparation

• Experience in Income Tax Return preparation is essential

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Income Tax Compliance is a must

• Experience in Individual Tax Return preparation is required

• Proficiency in Partnership Tax Returns is a vital requirement

• Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Should have the ability to work in a team-oriented environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential

• Must be detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is a plus

• Prior experience in a public accounting firm is desirable

• Familiarity with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite is required

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards

• Should be able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
