Job DescriptionJob DescriptionTekni-Plex, Inc in Winston-Salem, NC is hiring for a Slitter Operator to join their Production Team. Tekni-Plex's Winston Salem location is the largest facility within the Consumer Products division, offering a career path with the industry along with a safe and inclusive working environment The Slitter Operator is responsible for packaging, palletizing, unloading and sleeving product from production equipment. Responsibilities: 

  • Assists Production Tech with order processing, changes and set-up.
  • Bags, boxes or palletizes finished product.
  • Performs quality inspections and tests.
  • Positions sheet rolls on unwind stand and starts sheet into formers and through the trim press.
  • Assists in the production and operation of manufacturing process equipment.
  • Prepares production logs, product tags and time cards as necessary.
  • Operates scrap grinder as required and understands recycle system.
  • Follows and participates in plant safe housekeeping guidelines designed to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Remains compliant with SQF / BRC / HACCP requirements as per this location’s written “Food Safety & Quality Policy”

 

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous manufacturing experience is highly preferred 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs in a repetitive or continuous fashion.
