Position Overview:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional for a full-time position at a TLC classroom for students with moderate to severe special needs in Wilmington, MA. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with severe disabilities and behavior challenges. The role involves assisting with personal care, including toileting, and supporting students in PreK-8th grade with behavioral and physical needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with moderate to severe disabilities
• Assist with personal care needs, including toileting, as required
• Implement behavior and academic interventions under the direction of the teacher
• Support students in managing their behavior, both in classroom and during physical activities
• Assist with daily routines and classroom activities to ensure students are engaged and supported
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to monitor student progress and assist with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with children with severe disabilities preferred
• Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is highly preferred
• Must be comfortable assisting with personal care and physical requirements, including toileting
• Ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative educational setting
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable
