Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join one of our Internal Medicine practices on our main campus in Fall River, Massachusetts. This part-time position is ideal for an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner with 3-5 years of experience. The position requires 1-2 days per week, typically on Wednesdays, with the possibility of adding a Thursday. There is also an opportunity for skilled nursing facility (SNF) rounding one day per week. This role offers a balanced schedule with no nights, weekends, or holiday call.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality primary care services to adult patients, independently managing patient care under a collaborative agreement with a supervising physician.
Conduct thorough evaluations, diagnose conditions, prescribe medications, and develop treatment plans.
Manage patient care based on your experience, training, and confidence, with full support from the supervising physician.
Access and collaborate with specialists and testing facilities on-site at the main campus, including laboratory services, radiology, cardiac and pulmonary testing, Physical Therapy, GI endoscopy, allergy, and infectious disease services.
Participate in the ongoing development of patient care protocols and maintain high standards of patient-centered care.
Option to participate in SNF rounding one day per week, as desired.
Qualifications:
Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
3-5 years of experience in primary care.
Valid Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) certificate and Massachusetts controlled substances registration.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented, patient-focused environment.
Compassion, maturity, and excellent communication skills.
Proficient in using eClinicalWorks (EMR) or willing to learn.
