Salary: Therapist I annual salary is $56-$70K depending on experience. Therapist II-IV salaries are at higher Pay Grades.

QMHP Qualifications Required: Must meet one of the following qualifications to become a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP). Direct information can be found at www.MHACBO.org.
Therapist Responsibilities Overview:
- Review program documentation each week for quality, content, and appropriateness with each BRS youth’s ISP or MSP.
- With oversite and delegation from the Program Manager, responsible for the operation and maintenance of the facility when the Program Manager and/or Director are absent.
- Provide on-call support, as needed.
- Provide clinical direction to direct care staff. The Social Service engages in care coordination for the youth in the program.
- Ensure that services are delivered in accordance with KBBH and Youth Residential policies and procedures, and the highest possible clinical and ethical standards.
- Conduct all mental and behavioral health assessments for youth in the program.
- Determine youth service needs, eligibility, and appropriateness for services; make referrals and coordinate with other agencies to obtain services for clients and their families in collaboration with Youth Development Specialist Staff.
- Provide individual and/or family therapy, services coordination, crisis intervention, and skills training.
- Responsible for reviewing and providing quality assurance for all Youth Development Specialist Service Notes to ensure plan implementation fidelity and accuracy. Provide clinical feedback to staff regarding service delivery and documentation.
- Provide consultation with DHS child welfare and other community partners, youth, and families.
- Provide an active presence in the home through positive and compassionate therapeutic support.
- Coordinate with other providers in the agency and in the community to ensure smooth and successful transition in levels of care for the youth in the program.
- Must be able to maintain professionalism under high stress situations such as: youth engaging in property destruction, youth engaging in verbal and physical aggression, youth expressing suicidal/homicidal ideation.
- Demonstrate an understanding of trauma and the impact on emotional and physical development and how it can impact behaviors.
- Provide individual, family and/or group therapy within the scope of their training.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Oregon driver’s license, insurable driving record. Personal automobile insurance is required if clients are transported, or any agency business is conducted by the employee using his/her personal vehicle. If the employee is an unlicensed therapist or is not active in the licensing process, the employee must meet the requirements to become MHACBO QMHP-C Certified and maintain certification. This must be maintained for the length of employment.
