  • Start/End Date:ASAP 05/30/2025
  • Hours per Week:37.5
  • Caseload:Split position between elementary student (kindergarten girl, type 1 diabetes) & high school student. HS student is a teenage boy with spina bifida who comes to school 3 days a week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays) and needs help with changing/toileting, organizing his things, assisting him in daily school/classroom life, during outings, etc. Some bus riding may be involved. He is verbal.
  • PCA would work with kindergarten girl 2 days a week just making she there are no signs of distress.
  • Required Credentials/Non-Negotiables:State requirements.

Qualifications/Requirements:

It is not required but HIGHLY preferred if you have at least 1OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • 60+ hours of college credits (preferred)
  • associates degree (preferred)
  • paraprofessional license/certification (preferred)
  • substitute license/certification (preferred)
  • anyprior experience in a school/daycare setting or working with special education and behavioral kids

About the Position:

We are looking for passionate and experienced Paraprofessionals to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of classroom management and experience working with elementary school students. School experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing classroom activities
  • Work with small groups and individual students to support their learning and development
  • Supervise students during play and other activities
  • Help to maintain a safe and positive learning environment
