CNC Programmer AND Machinist

Full Job Description

We are a manufacturer of metal pipe fittings used primarily in US Naval Ships and cruise ships. We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. Starting with thousands of feet of on-hand bar stock metals, our machinists use a print/drawing to turn this bar stock into finished product. You may bring the software that works for you, use our on-site program MasterCam, or use HAAS Conversational programming at the machine to produce desired fittings. Typical products are pipe fittings with runs sizes of 1-25 pieces and occasional runs of 100+

Requirements & Responsibilities:

- Program from a flat drawing/ print / spec using G-code, HAAS conversational, or CAD

- Set up the machine(s) from start to finish with a strong knowledge of machining techniques and processes

- Operate and monitor the machine as it runs (as needed)

- Maintain a high quality of workmanship

- Ideally should have Mill experience to run a vertical mill VF-5SS

Pay Frequency: Monthly (Can offer advances as-needed)

This position is currently Monday-Friday as an 8hr shift or four 10hr shifts, however, it can be very flexible and the position can be an afternoon-start time and/or Saturdays if preferred (current employees have staggered shifts). Working in a clean & bright, enclosed, heated machining room on new machinery

This position would be ideal for someone with attention to detail and pride in one's work Drawings are provided which you will program in Mastercam, or Haas conversational programing, and/or other methods. Then implement on the HAAS CNC machines.
