QA Technician

The QA Technician will be responsible for testing product samples from Production and Incoming Materials as well as ensuring HACCP/quality/GMP regulations are being followed accurately. You will run lab tests including GC and sensory testing. Additionally, you will complete floor tests such as metal checks, screen checks, weight checks, and packaging verification. You will conduct Environmental Testing by swabbing throughout the plant. Duties also include sample identification, preparation of QA records, and product clearance. You will work closely with the Manufacturing team both on the floor and in a lab environment. You will be required to ensure employees uphold Food Safety and Quality standards including GMP's, SQF, FDA, PCQI, and customer requirements. The job involves 60% lab work (running physical and sensory tests) and 40% floor work (pulling samples, swabbing, etc.). All products are powder products (non-dairy creamers, hot chocolate, powder cheese, etc.).

Production environment and lab environment within a food manufacturing setting. The plant is climate-controlled (not too hot or too cold). You will be working with people in production and help coach them to understand the 'WHY' behind the quality testing performed by the quality team.
