Electro-Mechanic – 1st Shift
Location: West Caldwell, NJ
Company: (Food Manufacturing)
Salary: $38 - $43 per hour (with potential for overtime)

About Us:
A leading food manufacturing company known for its quality products and commitment to excellence. We are currently seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanic to join our team on the 1st shift. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced production environment with state-of-the-art equipment.

Position Overview:
The Electro-Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems within the production facility. A strong focus on PLC troubleshooting and some PLC programming is required to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems on production equipment, including motors, conveyors, and control panels.
  • Perform routine maintenance and preventative measures to keep machinery in optimal condition.
  • PLC troubleshooting and basic PLC programming to support automated production processes.
  • Work with pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, diagnosing and repairing issues as needed.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure minimal disruption to production.
  • Document repairs and maintenance activities in accordance with company standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements in a food manufacturing environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Electro-Mechanic in a manufacturing setting (preferably in food production).
  • Strong understanding of PLC troubleshooting and familiarity with basic programming.
  • Proficiency in electrical systems, including control circuits, high-voltage systems, and motor controls.
  • Experience working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
