We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an IT Procurement Specialist in the construction/contractor industry. Based in Arlington, Texas, this role will be central to our team's operations, focusing on the procurement of hardware and software to support company-wide IT requests.


POSITION: LEAD IT PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST

LOCATION: ARLINGTON, ONSITE

DURATION: 3 MONTH CONTRACT TO PERMANENT

RATE: $23-$26


Key responsibilities:

• Handle the procurement of hardware to cater to company-wide IT requests

• Ensure inventory levels are adequate to fulfill equipment requests and shipped from the corporate office to end-users

• Oversee the procurement of software, maintenance of licensing information, and inventory of software media

• Update the inventory system with new product part numbers and descriptions for issuance of purchase orders

• Track order status with vendors and provide status updates to customers on outstanding requests. Liaise directly with shipping and receiving on order issues and changes

• Issue Purchase Order and Lease Equipment Order requests from other team members and departments

• Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company

• Assist in processing receipts of open orders and recording of assets into inventory records

• Provide support as necessary in the processing of IT requests

• Utilize skills in Computer Hardware, Purchasing Procurement, Procurement, Hardware and Software, and Inventory software effectively.

• Proficiency in computer hardware and software systems.

• Experience in purchasing procurement and inventory management.

• Knowledge of procurement processes within the construction industry.

• Ability to manage and control IT hardware and software inventory.

• Familiarity with inventory software for efficient tracking and management.

• Strong negotiation skills for acquiring hardware and software at optimal prices.

• Ability to work collaboratively with IT and other departments to understand and fulfill their hardware and software needs.

• Knowledge of vendor management and supplier relationship management.

• Ability to forecast future hardware and software needs based on company growth and IT trends.

• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to IT procurement.
