Roberts Oxygen, a leading distributor of industrial, medical, and specialty gases and related equipment, is actively seeking a dedicated and committed Distribution Supervisor for our Collingdale, MD location.

The ideal Distribution Supervisor candidate will utilize planning, coordination and supervisory skills to provide excellent customer service through the development of drivers. The Distribution Supervisor will perform daily coaching on the plant docks and in trucks. Will provide assistance with or back-up coverage as applicable for the Distribution department (routing, dispatching, scheduling, maintenance and roadside service) and Inside Sales.
Responsibilities and requirements will include but are not limited to:
- High School degree required; Bachelor degree in Business Management or related field preferred.
- Class A or B CDL preferred.
- 1 year experience in a sales or customer interaction environment required.
- 2 years minimum of supervisory experience of a team of 5 or more employees.
- Experience in a purchasing function, or ability to learn the same.
- Experience in a distribution supervisory/routing/dispatch function or ability to learn the same.
- Experience in a compressed gas cylinder filling production function or ability to learn the same.
- Strong computer skills and proficient in a Microsoft Office environment, specifically using MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is preferred.
- Ability to apply basic mathematical operation principles.
- Excellent writing, communication and media presentation skills.
- Must be comfortable communicating publicly and directly interacting with people in various environments.
- Process analysis and strong decision-making abilities.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Excellent driving record and if selected, ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
