School Social Worker

Location:Lincoln Park, MI
Position Type: Full-time, Onsite
Duration: ASAP - End of School Year
Hours: 8:45 AM - 3:30 PM
Caseload: Supporting 3 Elementary Schools

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated School Social Worker to join our team in Lincoln Park, MI. This role involves supporting special education and at-risk general education students across three elementary schools. The ideal candidate will bring passion, experience, and a collaborative spirit to help our students thrive.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide social work services to students with special needs and at-risk students.
  • Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans to address students social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
  • Collaborate with the Student Support team in meetings, evaluations, and EIPT (Early Intervention Planning Team) meetings.
  • Provide counseling and support to students and families, fostering a positive school environment.
  • Advocate for student needs and connect families with munity resources.
  • Participate in staff training and professional development as required.

Qualifications:

  • MSW or LMSW degree from an accredited program.
  • Valid Michigan State School Social Worker license.
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred.
  • Strong munication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Knowledge of special education processes and resources for at-risk students.
