Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Remote (Virginia)
Job Type: Full-Time Contract- Work From Home
Pay: $42/Hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct virtual assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
• Deliver therapy sessions via teletherapy platforms, utilizing engaging and effective techniques.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into the students overall educational plan.
• Provide support and training to teachers and parents to facilitate the generalization of skills.
• Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings, contributing to the development of student goals.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation, including progress reports and session notes.
• Stay informed of current practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology, particularly in the context of virtual service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology standards.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid Virginia SLP license.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Experience working in a school setting, particularly in a virtual or teletherapy environment.
• Strong knowledge of assessment tools, therapy techniques, and interventions for children and adolescents.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Proficiency in using teletherapy platforms and technology for virtual service delivery.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
