Job Title: Machine Operator - Bakery

A pizza processing company located in Manteno, IL is looking to add up to 20 new employees to the team

Seeking candidates that have GMP experience, is comfortable working in a warmer environment, and is seeking a long term opportunity.



We pride ourselves on promoting from within;

you can move up to a lead machine operator, a floor lead, a production lead, a supervisor, etc.

We regularly give performance feedback and treat everyone equally from day 1

Description:

  • Candidates will be responsible for setting up, monitoring and changing over food processing equipment to make pizzas
  • In the bakery department candidates are mainly operating mixing machines, filling machines and baggers
  • Candidates can switch between operating a mixer, filler and grinding machine work in teams of 3-4
  • Reading and interpreting a batch ticket to make dough
  • Candidates will be setting up and monitoring equipment on the line including mixing machines, fillers, oven, pressed, baggers, cartoners etc.
  • Responsible for monitoring temperatures, speed, durations, changing out rolls, wiping down machinery, making adjustments clearing jams etc.
  • Ideally looking for candidate with batch mixing or compounding experience in GMP environment

Shifts Available:

  • 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
  • 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Pay is $19 - 21.50/hr

+ Shift Differential ($0.75 - $1.00)

Work Environment

The production floor is divided into a toppings department with four lines in a cooler environment and a bakery side with nine lines in a warmer setting. The facility houses approximately 100 people per shift, identified by helmet color, in a clean and well-organized space that smells delightfully like pizza. Ambient temperatures range from 40&degree;F to 45&degree;F. Work includes packing, stacking cases, sweeping, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Safety attire required includes smocks, hair and beard nets, hearing protection, hard hats, safety glasses, and slip-resistant shoes. Work hours cover three shifts, with mandatory Saturdays if scheduled.
