Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a Paralegal on behalf of our client, a law firm specializing in family law in Medina, OH. This is an on-site, contract-to-hire opportunity that has the potential to turn into an amazing permanent position for the right candidate

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct legal research and analysis to support legal proceedings
• Assist in drafting legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs.
• Manage and organize legal documents using document management systems.
• Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Interview clients and witnesses to gather case information.
• File legal documents with the court and other relevant agencies.
• Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and closings.
• Perform data entry tasks to keep case files up to date.
• Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous litigation experience and experience in family law.
• Proficient in legal drafting and document preparation.
• Familiarity with document management systems.
• Strong proofreading skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to assist in contract drafting and litigation support.
• Proficiency in file organization and management.
• Accurate and efficient data entry skills.
• Excellent interviewing skills for effective case information gathering.
• Knowledge of legal administrative procedures.
• Professional phone etiquette for client communication.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position offers an hourly pay rate of $25-$30, depending on experience. After 30 days, you would be eligible for medical, dental, vision and voluntary life insurance, an employee assistance plan (EAP), and commuter and transit benefits for those who are working on average 30 or more hours per week. An employee retirement plan is also available.
