Job Title: Special Education Teacher
Location: Shillington, PA
Position Type: Full-time, Onsite
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year in the Shillington, PA area. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a profound impact on the academic, social, and emotional development of our students.
Responsibilities:

  • Create and update individualized education plans tailored to students' unique needs, collaborating with parents and professionals.
  • Design and deliver engaging lessons that accommodate diverse learning styles, focusing on academic, life, and social skills.
  • Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust instruction, accordingly, ensuring effective learning outcomes.
  • Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster a supportive learning environment and advocate for student needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree is required in special education or a related field; masters degree preferred.
  • Must hold a valid state license or certification in special education.
  • Additional endorsements in areas such as autism spectrum disorders or specific learning disabilities are a plus.
