Job Description

The Conveyor Technician position is located in Olive Branch, MS. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing complex mechanical and electrical issues within conveyor systems and other warehouse machinery. You will provide daily maintenance of conveyor systems, MHE batteries, and battery stations, including watering and upkeep. Additionally, you will support general housekeeping, facility maintenance, and preventive maintenance of fire extinguishers, dock doors, dock levelers, and other miscellaneous general warehouse equipment. You will work closely with maintenance staff to maintain a safe and functional work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair material handling systems (gears, chains, pulleys, belts, electric gear motors, rollers, controls, etc.)
  • Maintain and repair sorter systems (laser scanners, computer and electronics)
  • Understand system flow, start, stop, and un-jam the system
  • Troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance, dismantle, lubricate, and overhaul machinery and equipment
  • Check zones, belt tracking, photo eyes, etc.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and parts
  • Observe safety procedures and meet electrical codes
  • Make decisions based on technical documents
  • Perform quality testing and inspections
  • Crawl, climb, and stand for extended periods of time
Essential Skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completed Industrial Maintenance Schooling and/or 1+ years of experience as industrial maintenance technician
  • Working knowledge of conveyor systems
  • Capable of troubleshooting and repairing all components
  • Forklift certified with knowledge of battery changing/watering requirements
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to fix basic repairs throughout the facility
  • Comfortable with heights
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with pneumatics, electrical, mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance
  • Experience with sewing machines, embroidery, engraving technician work
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Experience with motors, hydraulics, hand and power tools, industrial equipment
  • Electrical troubleshooting and mechanical maintenance skills
