Position Responsibilities may include:
- Provide emergency medical care to injured or ill persons
- Function within the scope of medical care as defined protocol and state, regional, and local regulatory agencies
- Follow medical protocols and Company procedures
- Prepare documentation and reports accurately and timely and maintain records (Injury treatment documentation, Employee Files, Incident Investigation Files, etc.)
- Train first responders as needed and provide support and guidance to first responders
- Coordinate and run audiometric testing requirements
- Ensure regulatory compliance
- Assist with H&S compliance audits
- Assist with incident investigations and required documentation
- Assist with post-incident case management
- May perform post-accident or reasonable cause drug and alcohol testing as needed
- Assists the Worker’s Compensation Administrator as required
- Maintain confidential information
- Continue to expand knowledge base of basic medical/legal principles
- Ensure personal well-being
- Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs
Nature & Scope:
- Liaison to the Medical Director
- Works under general supervision
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong knowledge of fundamental medical treatment concepts, practices and procedures as well as compliance requirements
- Positive, professional attitude, handling difficult customers with ability to diffuse negative situations
- Working knowledge of MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and database applications
- Proficient documentation skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and effective listening skills
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with ability to establish positive working relationships with internal and external customers
- Ability to effectively train/educate others
- Professionalism: patience, poise and tact
- Ability to apply good judgement and strong work ethics and integrity on the job
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed

Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience as an EMT
Education/Certification:
- High school diploma or GED required
- State EMT Certification required
People Management: No
Physical Requirements / Work Environment:
- The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
